NV-202M/S solution works in pairs for point to point connectivity. Its features of NV-202M can transmit data
and power over a single pair of copper wire up to 2000m(6,562ft).Without the need for local
power supply, NV-202S can provide power budget up to 15 Watts to PoE ports. Operators are able to deploy
PoE devices in any locations, installing security IP Cameras, wireless access point security / VOIP, or access
control systems at any place where you have basic wire connectivity.

 

Flexible Configuration

The NV-202M/S supports both central office (CO) and customer-premises equipment (CPE) modes selectable through DIP Switch. Customers can do the configuration for different needs adjustment. PIN1 ON of DIP Switch is CO side, PIN1 OFF of DIP Switch is CPE side.

 

Interleave delay support

Interleave delay function is used in digital data transmission technology to protect the transmission against noise issue and data error.
If during transit more than a certain amount of data has been lost then the data cannot be correctly decoded. Short bursts of noise on the line can cause these data packets to become corrupt and the bridge has to re-request data which in turn can slow down the overall rate at which data is transmitted.
Interleaving is a method of taking data packets, chopping them up into smaller bits and then rearranging them so that
once contiguous data is now spaced further apart into a non continuous stream. Data packets are re-assembled by your lan extender.

 

Easy Installation

The NV-202M/S may be installed on any level surface (e.g. a table or shelf or rail) that use bracket or DIN rail plate. The NV-202M/S supports plug-and-play installation and is fully compatible with all kinds of network protocols. Furthermore, user can watch the status of each individual port via the LED indicators.

 

Automatic Bandwidth detection

The NV-202M/S supports band profile 17a and 30a, it can automatically detect the cable length and bandwidth depending on the distance to the configuration. The maximum bandwidth is symmetric bandwidth of 100Mbps / 0.3 km.

LAN Distance Extension

 

When the equipment you want connect to NV-202S, please make sure the networking device has built-in power splitter(PD) function, if yes, please connect it directly, if not, please connect between NV-202S and networking device through a power splitter(PD side).our PD provides 12VDC and how to choose PD model, which depend on networking device DC input requirement.

1. POWER indicator does not light up (green) after power on.

 

Check the power plug by plugging in another that is functioning properly. Check the power cord with another device. If these measures fail to resolve the problem, have the unit power supply replaced by a qualified distributor.

 

2. Line port Link indicator does not light up (green) after making a connection.

 

Network interface (ex. a network adapter card on the attached device), network cable, or switch port is defective.

• Verify that the NV-202M and MV-202S are power on.

• Check CO/CPE mode config is correct.

• Check if the proper cable type is used and its length if exceed specified limits.

• Make sure that the coaxial cable or twisted-pair copper wire must be connected between NV-202M and

NV-202S first, and coaxial cable and twisted-pair copper wire both without coexisting.

• Please try to reduce cable length if encounter noise issue.

• Please try to turn on interleave delay time or INP / SNRM by DIP switch for anti-noise.

• Replace the defective NV-202M/S or cable if necessary.

 

3. NV-202M/S power link cannot be established.

 

NV-202M/S failure under cable type and length is over the specification.

  1. • Please make sure that the cable must be properly connected between NV-202M and NV-202S when both are power on. NV-202M will link depending on the cable length and remote device loading. Therefore, if NV-202M can’t detect NV-202S over cable while both power on, this will cause the link to fail.
  2. • Please check cable must be Cat.3(or above) and without rust, and the length is not over specification.
  3. • Please check the NV-202S power consumption if overloading.
  4. • Please try to reduce cable length.

 

4. NV-202S PoE LED does not light up.

 

The networking device connecting to the NV-202S does not follow IEEE802.3at PoE standards.

 

• Make sure that the networking device must conform to IEEE802.3at or IEEE802.3af PoE standards. Also, Make sure that the networking device has embedded power splitter. If not, use an external power splitter for connecting to NV-202S.

• Make sure that the networking device power consumption if overloading.

• Make sure that PD side works on Mid span mode.

• Please try to reduce ethernet cable length.

 

5. Power splitter cannot power feeding to networking device.

 

NV-202S built-in power injector output is limited by phone cable length.

 

Make sure to follow the product specification of NV-202S power injector output by differential cable length.

 

6. We using NV-202M/S kits and the end point device (NV-202S)when touch gives them a shock.
  1. NV-202M will supply DC  higher voltage for feeding NV-202S at long length phone cable. Regarding this issue, please connecting FG of NV-202M/S on rear panel to earth ground.
7. Can you please explain about the NV-202M/S point-to-point band profile/plan?

 

Regarding the NV-202 point-to-point band profile/plan, The short cable lengths default profile is 30a, with the growth of distance until the profile 30a cannot establish link, it will auto change to profile 17a of long reach mode. In addition to, NV-202 point-to-point band plan will depending on with different distance to automatically configure different parameters.

 

8. What is the POTS/ISDN that NV-202M/S support?

 

Do not connect any POTS/ISDN, due to NV-202M O/P a high voltage DC Power to Line port.
